Greetings All Mutual Members

There are a couple of administrative things and exciting social events I’d like to convey to you all, so thanks for your attention for the next few points J

1.      Mutual Bags and Jackets

This year, the guys in the kit department (Sonic and Mini) have procured three great additions to our club kit. These include the new mutual stick bag, the jacket and the skorts for ladies. (Tosser - I dont  agree with this at all, prefer the old faithful skirt and thong combo) Mini will be at the 1s/2s game tonight at Mutual and at the ladies trials on Sunday with the jacket and bag samples. Get your orders in quick as these items are in demand. If you have any other queries, contact them at kit@mutualcput.org.za

2.      Mens Trials

There will trials for men on March, 17 between 11:00 and 14:00 at the mutual astro. Should you require any further information, please contact Mark Goosen (Goose) on 0723927392 or mark.goosen@gmail.com

3.      Ladies Trials

Ladies trials will continue this Sunday at Mutual from 10:00 (09:30 meeting) at the astro. If you haven’t been or haven’t received a mail from Tippex from last week, please contact Lindsay Easom (Tippex) on 0726304256 or lindze.smile@gmail.com (Tosser - I know a few ladies that will be hanging on Sunday)

4.      Fees

There was a budget meeting that took place last night with the union and the affiliated clubs where we were represented by our Treasurer. The proposals need to be worked into our financial budget for the year and then we can amend fees and officially release them. Look out for this notification soon in your inboxes.

5.      Shirt numbers

We need your shirt numbers of those of you that have shirts so as not to order duplicates. Please send to kit@mutualcput.org.za or secretary@mutualcput.org.za'. (Tosser - I would also like to propose....wait done that already, we should have a meeting at the Green Buffalo for nickname changes or to ratify new ones. All in favour of "The Raff" say I.....I)

6.      Social Events

This year promises to be an exciting year in terms of hockey and social events. We will be changing the way club nights are run and doing them as a competition basis. Every month, each side will be given the opportunity to host a club night (themed and all) and the best club night of the year will win. Good luck teams (Tosser - Shot gun Topless Thursdays!!! Yes please)

Our annual Wined up will be held on the 1^st of April 2012. This is no April’s Fools and the event is a tradition in our club and inducts our new members into the spirit of fun and hockey. One not to be missed!! (Tosser - sadly every year there is a new cap who 'misses' wined up. Please no rookie errors this year...ie. Bondi, pace yourself or at least have a designated driver)

There will also be a capping ceremony for the first sides on the 12^th of April to generate enthusiasm about this momentous occasion for our hockey club and show the guys and girls our continued support that we pride ourselves in.

Something else happening in April will be the Easter weekend tournament for two of our mens’ sides and one ladies side. There is still a spot or two for the ladies side, so if anyone is interested, please contact Melissa Gold (USA) on 0836587771 or meljanegold@gmail.com. For those not going away, come and support the sides at Central Hockey Club, it promises to be very festive.

Also on the calendar this year will be a Golf Day and a Rock night, watch your inboxes and social media for details on this one.

7.      Umpires wanted – Masters Tournament

To all those graded umpires out there, the infamous and festive masters’ tournament is happening in Cape Town this year, should you be interested in umpiring there, please contact me, Danielle Moult (Bubbles) on 0825666224 or secretary@mutualcput.org.za

8.      Secretary Position – We need YOU!
