Morning All
Two games left, what a great win. Few things before our game on Sunday @13h30 vs Conberg. This is going to be another tough game for those who stayed and watched last night, these are a few things worth mentioning.
1. I trust Vis got home and gave himself a tactful speech about getting a yellow, but we need 6 players on the park. Our discipline has been good this season, let’s keep it that way
2. Rushing into tackles, against Conberg they will crunch us. And they counter very fast.
3. As Vis said, we gona need the fresh legs in the middle when you come on. Their centre man is amazing….and not too bad at hockey either.
4. Meeting time, there is a reason we have one.

Well we started off well for once? Maybe that mini game before the match actually did help. Well done 6-pack. He also got a bit of confidence back into his game and actually got a few slip drags off the ground. Lol
Not sure what happened with the toss? Vis was on a winning streak?
But we got off the a manic start. Bob coming close to getting the small touch needed on some great passes into the circle which would have been great goals and a fantastic start for us…..But he didn’t, so they weren’t fantastic and we were still 0-0 until the first shorty of the match which was dispatched low into the corner by Tosser. A magnificent finish to an otherwise mediocre slip.
I’m still struggling to realise exactly what happened after that? both moments revolve around Vis being greedy, however one he scored the other…….well lets just say we still not talking about it.
His goal, however was a fine finish, smashing a ball past the keepers right foot into the far corner. All that praise was negated however with, really what on earth were you doing? I think you beat 2 defenders, pulled the keeper twice (no u sick perverts not like that) stopped pulled again. Then almost waited for Kyle to get set up on the line. Then to what can only be compared to bowling an underarm full toss to Pathan, Vis didn’t miss, but had a drag flick stopped on the line. OUCH
Half time. I couldn’t believe I was lost for words. I’m normally used to giving the same motivational speech….thats the only one I have ever written and accompanied with Vis’ usual tactful kak out it seems to work and we always come back in the second half. But this time for once we were in the strange position of being ahead….actually wait we were in the same position against Pinelands.
Anyway the second half started. Bob making a hash of a shorty, but somehow slipping the ball thru the Keepers legs. That’s right, nutty number 3 of the season. I think WPCC scored next from a short corner? Then team Vis came to the party, I think we might change 6-packs nickname to Waiter, cause he gave Vis a platter. But we were still grateful he scored, until, that’s right, he has his ‘flick’ saved on the line again.
Only Vis can go from hero to villain twice in one game.
WPCC scored another consolation goal. But who really cares about them now anyway.lol
Score now was 4-2. And we were thirsty for more. 6-pack got a blow against him for an amazing stick block just outside the circle, but moments later an even more blatant stick block gave us a stroke. Which Bob stepped up to take, sending the keeper the wrong way (actually making him look quite stupid)
Team Vis again hits the score card again. This time with Bastick…..i mean Lime(lol) running along the base line trying to shoot and the weak deflection going straight to Team Vis with open goals. I know all of us held our breaths but he converted it. Hero again!
WPCC then scored again, with fridge going down early like a prostitute the ball landing up dead centre of the net. After a match of quite fantastic saves and a sneaky over the baseline goal (still amazing how you did that) you will be remembered in that game as ducking from a tame drag flick.
And the day was complete with Team Vis going back to villain after receiving a yellow for having no arms in the tackle. It was a spear tackle that Butch James would have been proud of!
Final Score Mutual 6 – 3 WPCC B
