WAGs of Mutual #1

For those of you not knowing what WAGs are and think we are having a go at these fine young ladies, think again. These WAGs or Wifes and Girlfriends, are on this page to show our appreciation.

Many nights are spent cold on the side of the field watching their men play hockey. Supporting them all the way, even if he plays in the 2s and loses every week. Come rain or shine.....ok, probably exaggerating there a bit. They wont be there in the rain. Maybe sitting in the car thou. But they are there supporting the green and blue every week. Or most weeks. or at least sometimes.

Next up we have the lovely Mrs. Els or Dee. Married to our amazing self-appointed fundraising president and newly appointed social convener she is the one that keeps him in order at the house so he is presentable on the field. I have spoken to her recently to try get Els to stop with this 'new thing' he learnt, he calls it the slide tackle to break down play. What is actually is, is a yellow card waiting to happen. Dee in my books is awesome, she also cooks really well and loves to feed me wine :)

Abbey Norman, with her huge personality - I am guessing a 34C, this diamond in the rough is the girlfriend of Harbha-John. If you are unsure who he is (since he is a newbie) you can see his write up in  New Arrivals #5 (<--- Click here)  Back to Abbey, unfortunately there is not much known about her. Born on the 14 March 1987 and attending Fairburn College. I know one of her 2 brother. But thats about it.

Dom Blake, the woman behind our goal scoring machine in the 3s. Emulating what he does off with pitch with what he does on it, he really scored big with this one. Lets not talk about her brothers and focus only on her. Blake sealed the deal quickly by getting married and I am not sure if he has asked permission yet to host the braai he has been telling everyone about? Recently Dom found out that the 3s practice is in fact not at 20h30 like Blake has been telling her all season, it is actually at 18h30. Means no more Monday night Ox for Blake from now on. Teaches him right for showing up at 11 on a school night reeking like booze.

Noraan Jones know to many as Nunu has been dating Sherman for over a year now. What a lovely couple although most of my convo's with her end in one word sentences...or statements. "Bek" or "Tjek" are our usual favourites. Sherman she is a keeper! (Now if only Vis could be a keeper - lol)

Yes the WAGs are normally a very tight nit group. Loving each other as much as we love them. If you see them around the astro or at the club. Give them a "good game" and thank them for supporting the green and blue.
