Patrick is a new recruit by Laggies, this guy is fresh out of school and like all people leaving school wants to keep active so the beers don’t go to the gut. Apparently laggies roofied him and then made sign a reg form and then asked if he could borrow some money which is now Patricks registration fee. Typical mutual boys stealing for the club!

Playing position: Striker                         Current team: 6’s

Sasko Sam is by far one of the more committed players I have seen this season, this guy stays at practice till after 10:00pm, and then catches a tax to Khayaletsha from town (winders whats your excuse?) He also is learning to play hockey pretty quickly and always wants to do better.

Date of birth: 14-10-1985                                   Previous club: High school (Rondebosch)

Playing position: Centre Forward/Right Wing      Current team: 4’s

Recruited out of retirement by the couple (Blake and Brown) this former Pinelands Highschool guy was tricked twice before his first practice. Firstly he was tricked into actually coming down and joining and then the sales guy at Totalsports (Much different to Jensens ‘shoplifting’ incident – “I wana try the boots out on the grass outside”) must love him because they finally made a sale on a Kookaburra hockey stick. (And yes it shocks him like a bitch, should have rather gone down to the beach and picked up some drift wood)

Date of birth: 03-08-1985                       Previous club: Platteland (that’s all we know)

Playing position: Keeper                       Current team: Vikings

Stompie is new member at the club this year who is also Afrikaans, another brother joined the club "Welkom". The nickname Stompie means small guy but he is not small at all. I would say he is about 3 and half times the size of Bastick. (Els – Speedbump, using bastik as a measure of size for something big is never really gonna work) (Tosser – easily #TellBasil the worst unit of measurement ever!). We strugle getting keeper kit and a helmet for him but not long then we sorted him out. His first words when he stepped on to the astro was "As iemand my seer gaan maak, dan gaan ek hom seer maak". Saying that with a big smile..He hasn,t played for a very long time but is keen to get back into the game, he could not pick a better club than the blue and green, Mutual. On a separate note he has the best pair of Pajama pants I have seen in a while!
