Date: Thurs 15th March 2012
Opponents: Pinelands Vets
Venue: Sunningdale
The Magical 2s arrived at Sunningdale full of confidence with an unbeaten league campaign behind them and with a win in the semi over Durbanville. With a record of 7 wins and 1 draw the hopes were high that they would end the season as champions on M2 indoor, but they had a tough counterpart in an experienced Vets team, which they beat 3-2 in the league phase.
The match started at a high tempo with both teams having a chance or 2. Our supposed coach for the outdoor season was on the opponents side and tactful Vis showed him not to mess with Mutual and gave him a yellow for his efforts. A fast-paced, physical and vocal encounter was seen in the 1st half with the half-time score Mutual 3-2 Vets.
The 2nd half started with Mutual completely dominating and got a 3 goal lead before a yellow card was shown to one of our players. Some poor officiating let them back into the game but smart play and some clinical finishing led to a Mutual win. Mutual 7-5 Vets.
Well done to the lads (Giger, Skywalker, Brundle, Import, Fanny, Dutch, Willson and Curly) for an unbeaten season and turning up the heat in the final and therefore winning promotion!

On a side note......that was the most vague match report I have ever read...EVER! I have no idea who scored the goals or any idea who got sent off? The match report was a month late....
How this boy ever made first team captain is beyond me.I am still running around the office looking for Ashton Kutcher thinking i was being punked last night during captain selections.
FML - F*ck Mutual's Life
I was on hand to give the youngster some advice last night after Brinsley Bondi Michael Clark Powell was announced as captain. I kept it short and sweet (just like my sex life), with a very easy to remember line..."Don't F*CK up" - Write that down.
Wow, look how i have kinda hijacked this post. My bad. Anyway, the capping ceremony was a success, seeing all the guys suited up. It looked like a Matric Dance with Bollie, Vis and Bob being those weird older guys you always find a highschool parties. Basically a #Goose.
Looking forward to the first gameweek to get under way!
Yours in awesomeness
