I have taken a few minutes to introduce to you the new recruits of 2012, or as Tatty and Bubbles like to call them…..#’Fresh Meat’. If the ladies feel like doing the same from their side let me know. It was hard enough for me (yeah I did) as is to ask school boys for a photo of themselves. After numerous calls from parents and a few restraining orders, below you will find our first instalment of Mutual recruits.
Full name: Sholto Morgan Nickname: Agent
Date of birth: 26-06-1990 Previous club: UCT
Playing position: Anywhere Current team: 1’s
After making his Mutual debut in the indoor 2’s and scoring a cracker of a goal, an own goal against Mutual while playing against UCT. He was aptly named Agent. Bringing his new ‘down-down’ songs from UCT, he has already been spotted on the social side of things. But sadly was not spotted at Wined-up. Seems like a guy who is keen to do just about anything, but sorry Tatty this blond bombshell is taken. Oh and Buffalo! 2 Fingers…..where would you like them?

Date of birth: 05-08-1983 Previous club: Milnerton
Playing position: Defence Current team: 3’s
The Shermanator has finally packed his bags and made the move from Milnerton to the green and blue of Mutual. My 5 year plan is finally completed, but also Sherman moving to Mutual is one of the signs of the apocalypse.…Hopefully adding a few more ‘down-down’ songs to our hymn book. Im sure some people are getting sick of the singing the ‘hooola’ and ‘sits on the steeple’. I can see fines meetings going south very quickly!

Playing position: Forward Current team: 3’s
Bringing speed, stick work and youth to the 3s, our very own little Spud has really grown into a Mutual kit. Well he had to, the small didn’t fit him at one stage (So cute isn't he! And no Bubbles, you can not 'break this one in'). But don’t be fooled by his size, this youngster has the mouth of a sailor and is quick with the chirps. He is also my dark horse for most goals in a season. #Watch this space

Another recruit from The Edge Highschool, Mick will be starting at centre back. Having a solid tackle and great composure on the ball will hopefully give the 3’s a couple of clean sheets this season..(and get me a well-deserved bonus)

Date of birth: 25-09-1991 Previous club: Durbanville
Playing position: Forward Current team: 1’s
If it weren’t for Piles (UltraMel), Fanny would have set the club record for most cards in a tournament. I speak under correction, but he was clocked as the quickest player at the club during fitness trials. Also possessing some uber skills making him a great recruit for the mens 1’s. But with Piles and LG joining him upfront……The Mayans have predicted a lot of back chatting and a lot of cards for the 1’s front row.
