Team remained unchanged from previous
week.
Opponents: Langa
Key points:
Keeping the ball out the D when you have a
suspect umpire who can change results
Holding onto possession in 2nd
half
Creating offensive short corners, we seem
to be able to create defensive short corners with ease (point from previous
week)
I am sure we will look back on this game
as one of the best in the season.
Team effort and work rate were second to
none.
This fixture has been dirty to say the
least in previous years and even though our friend Tami tried to riel up our
players it didn’t work.
We held the midfield well and capitalized
on their errors at the back.
HT 1 – 0
Second half we would be much of the same
with our guys stepping hard into tackles.
And eventually a ball from the back was
miss stopped by the Langa centre half and our forwards were on hand to
dispossess and create a shot for Fanny from top D which he cracked into the
goals.
2 – 0
Well our discipline has been great, but 3
guys decided to make it interesting in pretty quick succession there were green
cards for Bondi, Bollie and Fanny.
Luckily for them none of those 10 man
stints cost us a goal.
A late lapse in concentration in the back
allowed Lungi to receive an overhead unchallenged he proceeded to scrimmimage
Import before squaring to his co-striker who finished.
2 – 1
We step up another gear and ensure no more
errors.
FT 2 – 1
Absolutely fantastic result!
