What
a champ. This guy basically had everything in life stacked against him. For
one, he was born a Ginger. (This is written in capitals because it is a disease
that everyone should know about. Please if he bites you, seek immediate medical
attention or you will catch the gingervitus. – This is also why the club needs
your medical aid information on the registration form.) Somehow making it thru
primary school, his parents decided to throw another curve ball at him and send
him to SACS ,as if he wasn’t already getting ridiculed enough. Why couldn’t
they just send him to a school like Tafelsig or Oudies International where he
could be grouped with all the other Gingas, have space to walk about in their
cages and eat as many crayons as they want for lunch.
Making
the mistake of joining UCT for trials and getting stuck in their 6th
side, a frantic Brundle then called the person that everyone turns to in times
of crisis. Yes that’s me! He then joined Mutual and has been in the 1st
team ever since. Probably the fittest boy at the club – Gingers learn to run
fast to evade bullies and one of those “I’m keen for anything” type of guys.
Brundle
is a great guy to have around the club. He lives and breathes hockey. Also I
must mention his ‘Chuck Norris’ style fur coat is quite comfortable on the
face, and his beard keeps my tights warm….#TooMuch?
