It is
always great playing at Western Province Cricket Club. There are always so many
spectators, and even though most of them aren’t cheering for the away team, it’s
always nice to feel that energy coming from the crowd.
Coming into
this game the team knew that it was going to be a hard one. WPCC have the
experience playing against good teams and with that you yourself become a
better player. With MCPUT being the new kids on the block, or how some might
say – the underdogs - we did expect to walk
away with a loss but that being said, I take my hat off to my team, we have
still played hockey to the best of our ability. Like any human being we might
drop our heads for a minute or two when goals are scored against us but without
a doubt there is always a team mate shout for you to lift you head and play the
game you so love to play. Motivation has always been key in our team and it
does help.
