After a very Xtreme and screwdrivering game before vikings were glad back to be back on the astro. Chomping at the bit for victory and that elusive bonus point.

Shooting straight out of the gates almost on vikings first attack we got a short corner and having practiced a few shorties just before the game, Mullet stepped up to blast one past the helpless keeper.

Vikings 1 - Belville 0

Still showing lack of fitness vikings made a sub,  welcomed a new player to the field, Luca. Naturally it was a wing who left the field and of course Luka. A utility player who could play anywhere, except wing. Ironic you decide. Not having been on for a couple minutes Luca defects GOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL...... Ye the regular vikings wings should take some tips from him...

Vikings 2 - Belville 0

And apparently they did take note, with good passing and movement of the ball from the back all the way to the from. Bum gets the ball gets passed a player (don't ask me how....) shot from top D nard fast and into the corner of the Box. Bum scores, don't think he even new it till the ump blew the goal.

Vikings then settled down for a while and didn't seem to jell as well up front. Must have been as the leadership skills of the vikings captain was missing, Speedbump was resting on the sideline. But soon he was back on and the team having had a few close calls were eager to put the nail in the coffin. The magic finally came with the old man Randy doing his old school yard sticks passed not one, but to players. Classic falling over shot, the only way he can get to that ball wondering away from him. Landing on his shoulder to see the helpless keeper not get there in time.... GOAL...  Good thing he didn't land on his bad knee or he would have been of to the old age home again.

Getting right down to the what was important at the time, vikings decidsed after the game we would hit the club and not go through to the good old Green Buffalo. Always better to show some good old B\Green and Blue spirit and steal one or two of the oppositions better players... Hey Crispy...

Back to the game..

All the talk of bar still floating through the Vikings minds. Nothing like a good meed beer to a Viking.... The game got of to a slow start. Viking halfs and stompie not having to do to much, with the lack of Belville fire power upfront. They were looking more out-gunned than Colonel Mustard at Little Big Horn. For some wack reason Goose ended up taking a free hit inside Bellville 25, passing back to Speedo, who hammered it into the D, finding Randy's outstretched stick, Ddddddflection.... and the keeper didn't even see it coming.

Vikings 5 - Belville 0

A few shorties latter Elsie's turn to have a go (Vikings only have one shorty.. Straight shot...), Elsie shot goes wide... way wide... but Luca again was in the right position, well close enough to reach it with an Ammma-mazing dive....

There rest of the game was back and forth between to tired teams. Nothing given nothing taken and the game ended...
